lochie helped me take down the wooden scene i had glued to his walls. they are little flat wooden figures of animals, houses, kids, a school bus etc that i had hot glue gunned to the walls. they popped right off with a flat icing paddle and the glue pulled off the backs of the figures so easy. left no marks and walls look great! lochie was such a big helper - he would say "now sheep, mummy!" and i would pop it off and give it to him and he'd rush over and set them all up on the change table and rush back and tell me which one to take off next. i went shopping at shopko last night

and got a fantastic hutch on clearance for $15! i'm dying to furnish the place with new furniture but am restraining myself until i'm working at least! i bought a tonne of wicker baskets that were all 50% off (got some amazing deals!) and a heavy-duty rubbermaid outdoor storage cart for rakes, shovel, garden stuff and even has a basket area underneath for lochie's outdoor toys - trucks, balls, sandbox toys etc - for only $3.95 on clearance! i do pride myself on being the ultimate clearance and bargain price shopper! we went to the house after to drop everything off and when lochie walked in he was looking around and shouting out "Boy! Boy? Where ah-oo boy!" looking for the landlord's little 2 yo boy who was there the other day!

He thought it was their house and we were visiting them all along! i explained that the little boy wasn't there so he ran into the living room yelling "hello, man! hello, man!" (trying to find Rob our landlord!). after we walked around and scoped out the place more we changed our minds and are going to put lochie in the front room after all. it only has one window off to our rear parking space and is set up a little higher with one step. we thought it a bit safer as the rear bedroom has one window also but off to the alley in the back where we drive to park our car. we looked up online last night and we're going to get window alarms as all the doors already have deadbolts. we don't think the area is unsafe or anything but we have always had lochie about 5 steps away from us and this is a new experience having his room about 30-35 steps away from us! david spoke with rob today and he has bought a staircase for the house. they'll install it over the next few weeks. we're going back tonight again to clean.
