it was so perfect, mum - lochie said "bye-bye big!" when we were ringing off... several times! (he calls big nan "big" because he can't string the whole thing together yet!) and he identifies all of you by name looking at photographs. The other day I was in the kitchen and he came up to me and said "Buckee, Buckee"! (Becky) and I was kind of confused and looked around and said I couldn't see Auntie Becky anywhere. I came around to him and he was holding in his hand a letter she had written to me she had printed off with a colour photo of you guys out with the Sharps celebrating Dad's b'day! Usually when he name something/someone he is not wrong and really does see it. One of the teachers at day care who works in the Inchworm room said today she couldn't believe he was just turning two - she told David he was "very smart" and big too for his age.... you know I was proud! ;-)

the shirt Lochie is wearing in this pic is size 4T, can you believe it?
Big Nan was very pleased to see Lachlan open his birthday gift and she was absolutely thrilled to speak with him on the phone.
